My new tattoo!
The ampersand is such an underrated punctuation mark.
It’s elegant and subtle, but it’s seldom used. It’s not common like a period or an apostrophe. And it can’t convey any emotion like an exclamation or question mark. The only thing you can do with an ampersand is replace the word “and” with it, but you can’t even do that in acceptable sentence structures.The ampersand is my favorite punctuation mark. It’s useful, elegant and understated. Much like how I think of myself.
